Turf Care Program Our program is a custom blend of high quality fertilizer products that have been designed to deliver a comprehensive base of nutrients and targeted preventative measures. Crabgrass and grub control, along with calcitic lime and weed control is included. The applications in our program are proven by a decade of results at some of the most exclusive private golf courses, where agronomic decisions are based on soil temperatures, soil nutrient levels, weather patterns, as well as weed and insect life cycles. We are applying that experience directly to your home lawn, and when we do, we guarantee improvements in turf health.
Spring Turf Application delivers a targeted boost of nutrients to wake up the lawn in the spring, develop strong roots, and begin to prevent weeds from germinating. A 75% slow release product.
Summer Turf Application prepares the lawn for the stresses of summer combined with a protective layer of crabgrass control. Included is a brand new formulation of season-long grub control called Acelepryn, which is virtually non-toxic to our families, our pets, and surrounding environment. An 80% slow release product.
Fall Turf Application replaces lost resources and prepares for fall growth and cooler weather. This application is one of the most important as turf typically grows best this time of year. A 70% slow release product with 2% iron.
Winter Turf Application feeds the lawn steadily until winter dormancy, aiding in the storage of nutrients for a healthy spring start. Blended with Enhanced Calcitic Lime, this application also strengthens plants for seasonal stress and colder conditions, while maintaining pH levels and releasing nutrients back to the roots for optimal uptake. A 50% slow release product.
WHY ONLY 4 STEPS? Typical 6 Step programs comprise of varying amounts of quick release nitrogen sources in short intervals. The same holds true for the leading advertised 4 step program from the hardware store. Where their programs only delivers 20-35% slow release nitrogen, ours delivers 50-80% controlled release nutrients. The products in our Turf Care Program are actually encouraged by state and federal agencies for reducing the risk and impact to us and the environment. These high quality products deliver better results leading to fewer applications, giving you more worry free time in the yard for you and your family.
Turf Care Program Plus+ We also offer Turf Care Program Plus+ individual services to address specific needs your lawn may need to reach its maximum potential.
SOIL TEST Soil Tests provide the most comprehensive plan of action for your lawn. When the soil test is completed, we will know exactly how to proceed with a targeted application of corrective nutrients and balancing pH. This balance will drive your lawn to its maximum potential. Soil Tests are generally reserved for lawns with a history of problems, but it is always good to have a record of what’s going on in the soil.
CORE AERATION Core Aeration alleviates compaction and allows water, nutrients, and oxygen to reach the optimum depth of the root system. The holes left when removing plugs of soil provide the perfect environment for the seed to be protected from drying out, providing a huge increase in total percent of germination.
OVERSEEDING WITH CORE AERATION Overseeding is used as a way to partially renovate a declining lawn after a long hot summer, without the expense of starting from scratch. Generally, thin areas can be brought back to health and healthy areas can be further strengthened. As with our Turf Care products, the manufacturers and varieties of the seed we use are proven on some of the most demanding properties. This service includes one application of starter fertilizer to promote seedling growth.
WETTING AGENT Even with the most accurate irrigation systems, a few days of extremely hot weather can dry out the soil, turn your lawn brown, and trigger dormancy. When this happens, it becomes very difficult to re-wet the soil. Wetting agents are used to break down the surface tension of water, as well as strip the soil's water repelling properties. Once wetting agents are applied, the soil is more capable of absorbing and distributing water evenly to the root zone.
FUNGICIDE Fungicides are best utilized as a preventative measure, prior to environmental factors favoring an outbreak of disease. However, most often we see fungicides used as a curative measure after a disease shows up, usually to prevent further spreading of the disease. Some fungicides prevent and cure leaf diseases while other formulations work in the soil.
NUTSEDGE One of the most difficult group of weeds to manage is Nutsedge. The way in which they grow and spread, and the timing of maximum effectiveness of control products is a challenge.
